If you saw my last post about these two (AHEM, fun & funky engagement session here), you’ll already know that they are the sweetest, goofiest, and one of the most fun couples I’ve gotten to photograph. Their wedding was hands-down amazing…so much so that I’m gonna go ahead and say SORRY NOT SORRY in advance for how freaking long and full of images this post will be. Oops?
Since I couldn’t narrow down the image selection, I’ll try to keep the text efficient…
Things I loved about Katie + Pat’s wedding, in (mostly) chronological order:
- How they loved their venue soooo much because it has GOATS (& other super cute animals)
- When K+P both cried during their first look, and then immediately started laughing
- When Pat’s groomspeople surprised him with a wedding day hazing, a la toy sword spankings
- That their pup, Piglet, was their flower girl and wore the cutest little floral collar wreath
- How the rooster crowed SUPER loud, right as Katie’s mom and grandpa were walking her down the aisle and made everyone laugh — he was quiet the entire time until then, so dude’s got great comedic timing
- How the first thing K+P’s officiant did was give all the guests a minute to take a bunch of iphone photos while K+P stood at the altar with their wedding party – after that, he had everyone put their devices away so they could be present & enjoy the ceremony — THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLUGGED/UNPLUGGED COMPROMISE EVERRRR
- Their goat-themed photobooth backdrop
- How, just like during their engagement session, Katie strapped Piggie into her puppy carrier and it was adorable (feat. a silly photoshopping because why wouldn’t I?)
Most of all, though, I adore how authentic these two are in everything they do. There were just as many laughs as there were tears, and so much heart in their celebration. I feel so lucky to have been there to document the fun, and am so glad to have met these incredible people!
Katie + Pat, if you could just have a rad party every year, that would be greeeeaaaat. Mmmkay?
KIDDING.
