If I could describe, in a word, what it’s like to have an engagement session photographed by me, it would be: FUN. Not only are these sessions perfect for pumping your save the dates, wedding website, guest book, and everything else full of lovely images of the two of you; engagement sessions actually help you get used to being in front of the camera and to get to know/feel comfortable with your photographer before the big day. It’s totally a win/win.
Anyways, FUN. Katie + Pat are it, 100%. They’re silly, adventurous, love to laugh, and even though we had just met, it felt like I had known them forever. They weren’t scared to be themselves, and I love that about them. That’s exactly what I want everyone to feel like around me, in front of the camera & always! They (& their sweet pup Piglet) trekked out to the Hood Canal for a session with some gorgeous scenery and a killer sunset on what felt like the hottest day ever, and we danced around the park documenting their love until the park ranger pretty much ushered us out. It was perfect.
Now, before you go scrolling, let me just say that this session was/is/always will be a favorite of mine, not only because of how rad these two are, but because…PUPPY BJORN. I’m soooo not even kidding. Piglet (also the soon-to-be flower girl) was the sweetest little pup and a total natural in front of the camera, both with and without the carrier.
Katie + Pat’s wedding is coming up reeeeal soon, and I’m over-the-moon excited to document their good vibin’ fun day of love!
