We were getting things done, runnin’ those errands. In a small hurry, as Mondays usually go. Just as we were leaving a Co-op meeting, I spotted some amazing light in a nearby parking lot. In a series of movements which I’m sure was only comparable to a frantic, indecisive squirrel, I scurried toward this parking lot flooded with gorgeous sunshine and reflective beige walls — and then back again — with wide eyes, exclaiming “WAIT! Don’t get in the car yet!” and made them follow me into the light.

I’m lucky they love me.

In all honesty, we should have been on our merry way. It was already after 7:30pm, groceries were calling our name, and dinner had yet to be made. Instead we spent 10 minutes giggling in an alleyway to grab some silly, sun-drenched portraits. Y’know, just for fun.

Worth it.
