Nicole + Eric just love having fun together.
They're super outdoorsy -- in fact, he proposed to her during a hike at Mt. Rainier! Sooooo it makes perfect sense that they'd tie the knot in the great outdoors, too. They chose to have a Northwest Trek wedding day, and daaaaaaaang it certainly was one for the party hall of fame.
If you've never been, Northwest Trek is a wildlife sanctuary park in Eatonville, WA (about an hour outside of Tacoma). It has a 435 acre free-roaming area with herds of elk, bison, moose, caribou, sheep, mountain goats, swans, and deer. Nestled in amongst the trees + wildlife, complete with lakeside views of it all, is the Hellyer Center...and that's where Nicole + Eric said "we do".
Some of my personal favorites from their day:
✦ how they said their very personal vows to each other before the ceremony, during their first look
✦ the time Eric forgot his ring in the getting ready room and whispered to Nicole mid-ring exchange "just fake it!" and everyone exploded in either laughter or gasps
✦ the impromptu ring exchange re-do just after the ceremony, surrounded by their friends who were cheering them on
✦ when Nicole's dad changed into something "a little more comfortable" (+ TOTALLY PNW) after the ceremony
✦ the part where they surprised their guests with a cocktail hour tram ride through the park
✦ ALL THE DANCING
Clearly, these two did things right. Keep scrolling for proof! ;)
