let’s co-create photos that
breathe life into the way you re-experience
your most sacred memories.
if the
thought
of planning
a big wedding
makes you
break out
in hives...
When tradition doesn’t speak to your heart, or doesn’t feel like time well-spent, why go through the motions?
It’s an entire full-time job, trust me. Wedding planning is not for the faint of heart. Even with a planner, it can get overwhelming. Planning an elopement is more like planning a vacation, or a weekend getaway.
Going through the motions for family is a nice gesture, but at the end of the day, it’s your relationship and your memories. You can choose to incorporate what fits, and leave out the rest.
If you want a pretty bouquet because it makes you happy, do it. But don’t do it because of tradition (which was originally meant to mask the scent of an unbathed bride with floral undertones). Ask yourself what really means something *to you*.
Weddings are not cheap. While quality elopement professionals still charge their worth, you’re paying for less services overall — like that $15k venue, or $20k in catering — and saving money.
With a full wedding, you’ll be up at the crack of dawn and awake until the next day, but still won’t get quality time with most of your guests. You’ll blink and it’ll be over — and you won’t remember all the special moments. Eloping gives you the ability to really soak up the moment. You can always throw a get together for another day where you can spend REAL time with your loved ones.
My approach is centered in serving people who either choose to take the path less traveled, or have no other options but to go slower and move with intention. Whether you’re neurodivergent, have a chronic illness or disability, anxiety, or just don’t want to feel overwhelmed by the little things on such an important day — eloping allows the space for you to allocate only the energy you want to spend on it.

Hey, I'm Megs!
The PNW elopement witch & photo expert
who will help you create the most meaningful
intimate wedding ritual.
Your photographer can make or break how you feel about your memories. My approach is rooted in authenticity, which I believe comes from everything but the camera. You look your best when you’re comfortable and feel safe to let it all out. It’s not about the outfit, the makeup, or the hair…it’s about how supported and understood you feel in those vulnerable moments in front of the camera. I’ll get to know you and help you navigate it all in a way that invokes meaning and true joy.
here's the thing:
I met my husband just after high school. We fell in love fast, got married, and started our tiny family right away. But only a few years later, he was diagnosed with an aggressive-moving autoimmune disease and our entire lives changed. It was sobering to see my best friend go from active dad to our toddler and full-time worker, to getting used to wheelchair calluses and being plagued by constant leg spasms and pain. Our life since then has been complicated, and on top of it all, I live with a systemic genetic condition that complicates things that much more.
But he and I? We have the kind of determination that’s made of cosmic stuff. We’re eternal optimists with morbid humor. So we’ve kept going through thick & thin, created a life that holds space for us, raised our incredible kiddo, and transformed the difficulty into depth. We go slow, we find laughter in everything, and know that whatever life has to give us? We’ll take it, as long as we can face it together, head-on.
you can’t spend your life waiting for perfect to happen
Life is weird – it moves fast, and that’s why it’s so special. Not because it’s perfect. But because it’s rare, fleeting, and all happening at once. I understand what it means to truly embrace the moment; life has taught me that you can’t wait for it to be perfect before you starting enjoying it, ya know?
This is the heart I bring to my photography approach: one that understands the gravity of love: the pain, the joy, the fun, and every sparkle in the tiny cracks of it all. And that’s what gives me purpose in helping couples create photos that feel so much deeper than surface-level.

Be creative and remove the walls of the word ‘wedding’. Ask yourselves: “if we could plan the most amazing date day/weekend ever, what would we do? Where would we go? What would we wear?” Leave the “wedding” label out for a minute while you dream up the boundaries of what feels right. I’m here to help you figure this stuff out.
Prioritize your wants: what matters most for your elopement? Avoid comparing your plans to what everyone else is doing and focus on what aligns with your heart. Remember the intention – your why – behind your plans: you’re marrying each other, not everyone else. Check in with your priorities anytime things start to feel overwhelming. You are the only ones who get to define how it should look and feel.
Make sure to pad your day with extra breathing room; not just because you’d be amazed at how quickly your day will fly by, but also because life happens. Wiggle room makes it easier to relax and go with the flow, rather than swimming upstream while checking the clock and trying to rush things. And for my fellow neurospicy low-battery besties, it’s always best to set pacing days before and after your elopement. Leave as much room for rest & recovery as you can.

"it's not a real wedding"
and other popular
elopement Myths
Myth:
"elopements aren't
real weddings"
Reality:
A wedding isn’t defined by the size of the room, the length of the guest list, or how many traditional checkboxes you tick off. A wedding is defined by the depth of your commitment to one another. Period. Choosing to strip away the performance, the family dynamics, and the sensory overload of 150-person event doesn’t make your day less real — it makes it yours. You’re still saying vows, still stepping into a new chapter, and still honoring your partnership. You’re just doing it in a way that lets you actually breathe and be totally present for it.
Myth:
"eloping is for people who don't care about their wedding day"
Reality:
Eloping isn’t about skipping out on investing in your wedding — it’s about reallocating your resources toward what truly matters to you. Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars hosting, feeding, and entertaining a room full of distant relatives and acquaintances, couples who elope invest in intentional experiences. You aren’t cutting corners; you’re choosing depth over drama and connection over custom seat covers.
Myth:
"elopements are a last-minute thing"
Reality:
While you can elope spontaneously (hellooo, vegas!), an intentional elopement is created with thoughtful preparation. Behind the scenes, we pick locations that match your vibe and personalities, create custom timelines around the best light, and always account for pacing and energy capacity. It’s about building a day around how you naturally move through the world. Thoughtful elopements are designed with just as much heart and detail as any traditional wedding…without all the additional performative stress.
Myth:
"eloping means
keeping it a secret"
Reality:
Eloping doesn’t mean hiding or running off in middle-of-the-night secrecy. It simply means choosing intimacy first. You can elope entirely just the two of you, or you can craft a hybrid day that includes a tiny group of your absolute favorite humans for a low-key dinner while keeping the ceremony completely private. Choosing an elopement allows you to navigate complex family dynamics with care and grace, honoring your boundaries while still sharing your joy on your own terms.
Myth:
"you have to conquer extreme terrain to elope in the pnw"
Reality:
Hear me: you do not need to strap on crampons, hike 8 miles at high elevation, or brave steep cliffs to have a breathtaking, otherworldly wedding day. The Pacific Northwest is rich with serene, highly-accessible beauty. From mossy coastal woodlands, to quiet shorelines on the Puget Sound, to lush rainforest pockets, and gentle, grounded landscapes — we have soooo much to offer in magical locations that require low-to-no physical strain. And with my photography? We don’t do high-altitude stress. Your wedding day should nourish your nervous system, not serve only as a test of physical endurance.
Myth:
"it's just a 30-minute ceremony and a few quick photos"
Reality:
A 30-minute ceremony leaves out the most meaningful part of the day: the space in between. An intentional elopement is a full, rich experience — as meaningful (if not more, if you ask me) as a traditional wedding day. It’s making coffee together in the morning, taking an unhurried walk through a quiet forest or along your favorite beach, having space to process your emotions without a ticking clock, and sharing a private meal or a toast at dusk. We don’t rush from pose to pose; we curate a gentle timeline where your energy dictates the pace so you can absorb every single moment.
Myth:
"eloping feels less emotional than a traditional wedding"
Reality:
For many couples (especially my fellow neurodivergent, introverted, and anxiety and fatigue-prone people) traditional weddings trigger self-protection mode. When you’re performing for a crowd, managing high sensory input, or worrying about family expectations, it’s hard to stay grounded in your feelings and present in the moment. When you remove the audience and slow down the clock, you create room for true vulnerability, unscripted tears, deep laughter, and genuine presence. It feels more important because you are fully there to feel it all.

wish you were here?
What are you waiting for? The Pacific Northwest has an abundance of gorgeous landscape options that rival the magical vibes of getaways like Ireland, Scotland and Iceland. Say your vows in a place that makes you feel something big – while staying grounded and connected to each other and the Universe.
The best part: you don’t need to be a hiker for so many of these views. Actually, I specialize in locations that keep easy-to-moderate accessibility in mind.
From Deception Pass or Ebey’s Landing to Port Townsend, the Oregon coast, Lake Crescent or other Olympic National Park locations – can you picture your elopement here?
My approach for each elopement is heart-centered, from beginning to end, designed to highlight the things that matter most and creating an experience for which you can be fully present.

timeline examples
Crafting a proper timeline takes experience. We don’t have to stick to rigid, exact timing, but we do need to account for the right amount of time for each activity block. The time flies by so much faster than you might think – I’ll help you piece each block together to fit your vision.

what a real
can look like:
The PNW!
I live on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state and photograph adventures all over the Pacific Northwest (and beyond). I’m happy to travel to you, or with you, wherever your story takes place.
Then you’ll be getting that famous PNW experience. ;)
I double as an amateur weatherman, so we’ll do what we can to avoid it, but at a certain point, I think it’s healthy and grounding to embrace it! Unless it’s like… torrential downpour flooding, of course. We’ll have a backup plan (or 2) on standby and switch it up if we need to.
You totally don’t have to have an exact date to book a collection and start planning! The plus side is that by having some flexibility, it’ll ensure I have availability for your elopement. :)
Not anymore! I’ve found the best tempo for my body and creativity center more around naturally-paced, intentional moments, rather than high-intensity timelines. I now stick to elopements and micro weddings with 15 guests or less.
Hey, welcome to the club! 👋
This is a super common fear — most people feel weirded out in front of the camera because it’s a vulnerable place to be! As a lifelong shy kid who hated being in photos, I’m right there with ya. That’s why I developed my approach specifically for people like me. I don’t think you’re as awkward as you’re worried you are; you just need someone to meet you where you’re at. I’ll show you what I see from my eyes and I think it’ll make all the difference.
My process involves date night questionnaires, unlimited video consults, mood boarding, and so much more. I have rituals to help align my creativity with your vision so that we can really, truly connect and create something like a dream. You don’t need to know how to pose or be a model, either. I use a combo of intuition + good timing + prompts + natural poses to help capture your magic.
F*ck YES! I’m passionate about really connecting with everyone I photograph and believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect – no matter your race, sexuality, ability level, or gender. I’m committed to helping people feel seen, celebrated, and at home in their own story.
I can totally help you narrow it down! I tend to focus on locales where we’ll have freedom to roam, don’t have to hike forever to get to, and gives us the ability to get creative. Check out some of my favorites [ here – link to elopements page ]
With my style of photography, I think leaving a little extra space is a really important component of creating photos that feel amazing.
I’m here to help you visualize how things might unfold and figure out what will work best for your vision! My base coverage for lifestyle sessions typically starts around 1.5-2 hours. For elopements, I recommend no less than 3-4 hours (it flies by faster than you think).
It’s worth the wait!
I’m a perfectionist when it comes to edits. I care that your full gallery is consistent and beautiful because these are your memories for LIFE. So from start to finish, my process is centered in intention.
→ 1 week after your elopement or session you’ll receive a sneak peek preview gallery so you have something to swoon over while I work on the rest.
→ 6 weeks for lifestyle sessions is my general maximum wait. Average delivery time is around 4 weeks.
→ 12 weeks for elopements and micro weddings is my general maximum wait time. Average delivery time tends to be within 5 weeks.
Photography is often heavily seasonal, so time where I’m actively in the field photographing sessions and weddings is time not spent editing. It all depends on my work load, travel schedule, any time off/human things, and how many photos I snapped of you!
It’s all about quality > quantity.
I don’t focus on a specific number of photos; I put my effort into telling an artful story in the best way I can. Each wedding, elopement, and session varies in terms of the details, number of people, and length of coverage or depth of detail. In general though, I tend to deliver at least 30 final photos per hour of coverage. I’m guessing you’ll have more favorite photos than you’ll know what to do with. ;)
