A rainy day couldn't stop the fun with these two. Amy and Vinny had everything they needed to still have the party of a lifetime.
Amy + Vinny love fully. I learned this from the moment we did their beautiful beach engagement session. They are seriously sweet to each other; like, lovey dovey in the most gentle and adoring way. And you can tell they really, truly cherish one another.
Their wedding day was a little drizzly (guess we used all the sun for their engagement sesh!), which made their plans of a ceremony under the tall trees a no-go. But their sweet little indoor ceremony backup plan was just as gorgeous and inspiring as ever. Amy's dress was a tad outside the traditional, with a beautiful lace overlay and a touch of blush; Vinny donned a smooth blue suit jacket. Together, they looked amaaaaaaaazing!
One of my favorite parts of the day was the dancing. First up was Amy + Vinny's first dance, which ended with a CONFETTI CANNON. Yeah. Next up were the parent dances -- and after the first minute of the song, all the dads & daughters / moms & sons were invited up to dance with them. Vinny chose "A Song for Mama" by Boyz II Men for his dance with his mom, and after few moments, his brothers came up and they all encircled their mom, singing the lyrics to her.
What Amy + Vinny may have lacked in sunshine, they more than made up for with their love and fun-spirited vibes. Seriously. EVERYONE got down & danced the night away. I looooove when wedding crowds have no problem making the most of the party. A+V's reception had some funny moments, like when one of their friends perfectly impersonated the Gangnum Style guy, and when the song came on, everybody knew what to do; or when another friend requested "My Heart Will Go On" and then sang the entire song to them on the mic. Such a fun crowd!
All in all, it was a beautiful day, even with the dark clouds. I mean, at least we missed the rain for portrait time! ;) When you know where your heart is, nothing can stop your wedding day from being perfect.
