It started out as a last-minute portrait session scheduled just three days after the first email. Then it turned into one of the most stunning sunset portrait sessions I’ve had to date. These ethereal Hood Canal wedding photos are worth a scroll.
The way Jaclyn + Freddy look at each other is heartwarming. How they’re goofy and fun, romantic and silly, upbeat, and so easy to talk to. Or how they don’t always love the same exact things, but in their differences, they each balance the other one out. They’ve known each other since high school (but didn’t start dating until later), and being in their presence, you can totally feel the ultimate level of comfort and familiarity they have around one another.
As soon as we met for their session, we meandered through tree-filtered light and stopped near a creek for some private time away from other people. We followed the forest until it opened up into a dreamy waterscape for the most gorgeous and radiant setting. Wetlands and evening sun are something else. The Hood Canal truly showed off for their wedding photos – I mean, just look at that SUNSET.
They reeeeally took my instructions to just be obsessed with each other to heart. Jaclyn + Freddy were so easy to photograph and happy to play in the last rays of sunlight with me. Eventually the light faded and turned blue and we could see our breath puff out with every word and laugh. Cold, yes. Worth it, also yes.
These two are so gorgeous together. The perfect pair. I mean, just LOOK AT THESE TWO BABES IN LOVE. Life is going to take them to the most amazing places, and I’m so honored to have documented this little slice of their adventure.
