They wanted a relaxed and intentional wedding celebration and totally nailed it. A long Labor Day weekend with their crew on their favorite beach...and lots of pie!
Honestly, with me, all you have to say is “beach” and I’ll be there. Seabrook is the dreamiest little town on the Washington coast, and that’s where Krista + Jacob made their wedding memories. Spoiler alert: it was PERFECT.
They had a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the beach, complete with a pretty garland-laced chuppah. They said their vows and did the damn thing! It was extra cute when Krista couldn't help but smooch Jacob in the middle of the ceremony. From there, the newlyweds walked over to Seabrook Town Hall, where they had cocktail hour on the lawn while the folks at Paella House worked their magic over steamy pans of deliciousness.
With food in their bellies (VERY important, y'all), we snuck away for some quick but killer sunset portraits down on the beach. We hurried back so they could cut the pie and get onto the dancing -- SO MUCH DANCING. It was Labor Day weekend, so it was also VERY SWEATY, but nobody cared because they were all having a blast and I loved that. And then, after a very smoky sparkler exit (oops, haha! that’ll happen if you don’t grab extra long + smokeless ones like these), everyone changed into comfy clothes and headed down to the beach for a chill bonfire.
The ability to be fully present and totally absorbed in their wedding day is something that I think every couple should aim for. Krista + Jacob wanted that from the get-go, and I think it shows.
Damn, I love the beach.
