“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

– C.G. Jung

There’s a certain magic to the natural flow of life; you can feel it if you close your eyes for a minute and forget about the rules of being a grown-up. Instead of dreading the day-to-day, challenge yourself, let go of your stresses and embrace the little things and those deceptively routine moments. Encourage your children to explore. Be an advocate for curiosity. Because it seems to me, it’s families like this from which some of the most amazing people emerge. Who grow up believing in themselves and others, who are confident, who see endless possibilities in the world; and ultimately, make it a better place to be.

My time with this sweet family was well-spent; filled with little adventures and tons of giggles, exploring some of the places close to their hearts, documenting this little slice of their lives together. Gus is pretty lucky to have fun loving parents like Nick and Erika, who keep up with his adventurous spirit seamlessly. Erika is a very talented photographer herself, which made this session more special…and explains why they were such naturals in front of the camera. See what I mean?
