These two were soooo excited to share the PNW with their East Coast family, and to throw a fun party that everyone could enjoy! Which sounds like a good rule of thumb in general, right? This was my first wedding at Willows Lodge, so I was completely head over heels with the wine + garden vibes. ESPECIALLY AT SUNSET, oh my god.
Anyway, not only were we surrounded by the venue's gorgeous gardens, but the wedding florals were abundant and amazing. Jewel tone centerpieces with pops of orange; and the bride's flower crown and bouquet were so dreamy. I love that Madeline wore bright + colorful nails, which paired with her bouquet so well.
They decided they wanted a cocktail hour *before* their ceremony (yes please), and Madeline's talented brother John played guitar for the crowd. The Ketubah was a beautiful piece of art with a watercolor/stained glass vibe that was almost like a muted version of Madeline's bouquet colors. And the chuppah was knit by the bride herself and adorned with little baby ferns (arguably one of the cutest types of greenery ever).
For dessert, Madeline + Jared cut a colorful geometric cake, and then outside in the courtyard, Street Treats had an epic ice cream cookie sandwich bar set up and ready for them. It was a total hit with everyone, and one of my personal favorite dessert ideas at a wedding. And while a lot of people were busy dancing, there were also lawn games, coloring books, and puzzles set to cover all the bases of fun having.
All in all, it was a perfect day! Not only did they say their vows surrounded by their favorite people the gorgeous setting that is Willows Lodge, but it's also pretty obvious they hit their goal of a FUN wedding.
